Learn to Spin on a Drop Spindle

Join us for a 1.5 hour introduction to spinning on a drop spindle. You will be introduced to the ancient art of hand spinning and learn how to make a singles yarn. Plying and finishing your yarn will also be discussed in the workshop, and your finished yarn can be used for a range of crafts including knitting, weaving, crochet etc.

This class includes a drop spindle and some fleece to use on the day, and to continue to practise with after the class.

This class starts at 1pm and runs for 1.5 hours, finishing at approximately 2.30pm.

Classes take place at Flock, 25 Kings Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex. We are a short walk from St Leonards Warrior Square train station, and there is limited parking in the surrounding roads.

Full payment is required at the time of booking. Please give us 48 hours notice if you are no longer able to attend a class - if you give less than 48 hours notice then a refund will be dependant on us being able to fill your space. If you are not able to attend, you may send someone else in your place - please let us know their details in advance.

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a class, you will receive a full refund.
