Care instructions: John Arbon recommend that their yarns are gently washed before use as they don't do any washing or conditioning after the yarns are spun and skeined. You'll be amazed by how much the fibre blooms after a soak and it will certainly help you get a more accurate feel for gauge and character of the yarn over time. Once knit up, Exmoor sock can be washed in the washing machine on a wool cycle.
Packaging: Paper band
Made in: Devon.
Are you looking for a colour that we don’t stock yet? Or maybe there’s a particular yarn that you would love to see on our shelves. Please let us know - we are always really happy to order new colours and take suggestions to increase the range of yarn that we stock.
We have done our best to photograph yarn accurately across our website. However, the colour you see on your device may differ slightly depending on your settings and screen brightness. Please contact us if you have any queries.
About John Arbon
John Arbon are an independent micro business making yarns and fibre tops in their small scale, worsted spinning Mill in North Devon (one of only a handful still operating in the UK). Where possible they source fibre locally, or through trusted suppliers in the Falklands and worldwide. They use predominantly vintage machinery that they have lovingly restored and maintained to create wonderful artisan goods using a hands-on approach to production. All the yarn and tops ranges are blended and designed by the Folk at the Mill, inspired by the natural world or their interests in art, music and nostalgia.
