Introduction to Stranded Colourwork

Join us from 6pm-8pm on Thursday 3rd December to learn the basics of stranded colourwork knitting. This two hour class will cover everything you need to complete beautiful colourwork projects, including:

  • holding your yarn

  • reading colourwork charts

  • managing float tension

  • why colour dominance matters

  • swatching for colourwork projects

We will be making a two-colour headband, which is a lovely quick project for yourself or for gifting.

This class costs £40 for one two-hour session and Class sizes are small - there will be a maximum of six participants in each class so that everybody can get as much help as they need!

You will need two colours of DK yarn and 3.75mm and 4mm needles (DPNs or 40cm circulars). You can either bring your own materials or purchase them in our shop. You will be asked to cast on and knit the ribbing ahead of the class so that we can focus on the colourwork section, (full details will be shared with you in advance), so please ensure that you give yourself time to do this.

Additional Information

This class start at 6pm and runs for two hours, finishing at approximately 8pm.

Classes take place at Flock, 25 Kings Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex. We are a short walk from St Leonards Warrior Square train station, and there is limited parking in the surrounding roads.

The price is for one class (two hours total). Full payment is required at the time of booking. Please give us 48 hours notice if you are no longer able to attend a class - if you give less than 48 hours notice then a refund will be dependant on us being able to fill your space. If you are not able to attend, you may send someone else in your place - please let us know their details in advance.

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a class, you will receive a full refund.
